How to claim WFS inbound shipment shortages
You sent 500 units to a Walmart fulfilment centre and only 470 show up as received. Those 30 units are your money, and Walmart will look into it, but only if you ask.
1. Give receiving time to finish
Walmart says receiving normally takes up to 2 business days after delivery, and up to 10 business days during sales events, holidays and peak season (1 October to 31 December). Walmart asks you to wait at least 10 days from delivery before raising a missing-inventory issue.
2. Compare shipped and received units
In Seller Center, open Shipping Plans, find the shipment and select Track. The Track items tab shows, for every item, the units you shipped and the units Walmart received. View progress also shows damaged units and when receiving started.
Write down every item where received is lower than shipped. That difference is your claim.
3. Collect your evidence
- The shipment ID and the item list with shipped and received counts.
- Carrier tracking numbers and proof of delivery (if you used your own carrier, make sure tracking and ship dates are entered on the plan).
- Your packing list or box contents, and the supplier invoice showing what each unit cost.
4. Open a dispute claim
Once 10 days have passed, open a dispute through Walmart's Request an investigation flow for WFS receiving issues in Seller Center. Include the shipment ID, the missing units per item and your evidence. Keep the case number and check it until Walmart either finds the units or reimburses you.
Doing this for every shipment
One shipment is easy. Checking every shipment, every week, is where money slips away. StockBack connects to Walmart with your own API key, compares shipped and received units on every inbound shipment, and writes the claim with the evidence for you.
